The Nottingham University Business School China Accredited by EQUIS

NINGBO, China–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#WeAreUoN–Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) China has been awarded a five-year re-accreditation by the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS). This is the second time that NUBS China, member of the Nottingham University Business School family, has been accredited by EQUIS. The five-year accreditation is the highest EQUIS evaluation of a business school, which shows that NUBS China has fully met EQUISs accreditation standard and that it continues to be a world leading business school. It is one of just 14 business schools in China to have received this accreditation.

As one of the most authoritative business school accreditations in the world, EQUIS adopts two main metrics in its evaluation – ‘internationalization’ and diversity of professors and students and ‘links to the business world’, which focused on strong customer orientation, connections and contacts with high-level domestic and international companies, and employers’ satisfaction level of the quality of graduates. The judging panel was impressed by the quality of Nottingham University Business School in the areas of scientific research, internationalization, sustainability and social responsibility.

Located in prosperous Ningbo, China – a city with a strong entrepreneurial spirit – NUBS China has deep roots in the highly developed Yangtze region. Academic staff are drawn from countries across the world, and are among the world’s top academics in their fields and multiple modules in the School have been recognised nationally and provincially as first-class modules. Keeping a teaching quality highly consistent with the University of Nottingham UK, NUBS China combines cutting-edge business philosophy and case studies to cultivate students’ ability to solve actual business problems to become prospective international business leaders.

“China’s rapidly developing economy and growing international trade market has created massive demand for high-quality talents, especially those with international higher education background,” commented Professor Martin Lockett, Dean of NUBS China and Professor in Strategic Management.

Among the 341 graduates of International Business of the class of 2020, 284 sought further study with 47.9% of heading to world top 50 universities. Those directly employed after graduation went to work in Fortune 500 and international and domestic listed companies, such as HSBC (China), L’Oreal (China), Boeing, and ByteDance. NUBS China stands out in the highly competitive job market with its powerful industry connections and high-quality students.
