The average Singaporean consumes less than half the daily recommended amount of fibre and including more leafy greens into meals continues to be a challenge.
To tackle long term improved consumer health spans through fresh nutrition, Sustenir has carefully crafted its ‘Superfood Smoothies’ range with kale, fortified with functional benefits through fruits to support the specific pillars of gut health, healthy ageing, and mental well-being. These smoothies are designed to complement Singaporean’s often rich meals without removing indulgent foods from their diet.
The smoothies were crafted after studies conducted by AMILI, the region’s first precision gut health company founded by academics from the National University of Singapore, revealed that Sustenir’s kale as a prebiotic unlocked many significant gut health benefits.
“The Mayo Clinic has described kale, rich in vitamins and minerals as a “nutrition superstar”,” says Dr Gwen Tan, Chief Innovation Officer at AMILI. “Our research showed that kale as a prebiotic serves an important function to stimulate the growth of good gut bacteria. These good gut bacteria in turn produce beneficial molecules to improve health.”
Another research study recently concluded also with AMILI, found that 71% of study subjects reported that Sustenir kale significantly reduced stress and improved sleep quality after two weeks of consumption.
Jack Moy, Chief Executive Officer, Sustenir Group, said: “After six months of intense research, AMILI revealed illuminating findings of how we can bring more healthy products to market for consumers that not only deliver functional benefits but that also taste great and nourish body and mind. This is game-changing for growers and consumers as we look to bolster long-term consumer health through fresh nutrition. We believe our new line of Superfood Smoothies with functional benefits will be an exciting new nutritional option in consumers’ everyday habits.”
Sustenir Superfood Smoothies are organic, Halal, low in calories and Nutri-Grade B.
