During the visit, the delegates were introduced to the life of an SGU medical student and learned how the institution’s programs and tracks are designed to prepare students for real-world medical practice. The tour included exclusive access to SGU’s modern medical facilities, including specialist simulation and anatomy laboratories, clinical exam rooms, a sonogram room and the campus security center.
In addition, the delegates explored other campus amenities such as the fitness and wellness center, health services clinic, and accommodation halls, gaining a holistic understanding of the university’s commitment to student support and well-being.
Gwiyoon Jeong, Manager of Student Recruitment for East Asia, said: “The SGU Familiarization Program is essential for showcasing our facilities and providing education agents and school counselors with the opportunity to interact with academic staff. These tours are meticulously designed to offer a first-hand experience of what SGU provides—both inside and outside the classroom—and demonstrate how our curriculum equips students with the critical skills and knowledge needed for successful medical careers.”
The visitors expressed their appreciation for SGU’s infrastructure, programs, and student-focused initiatives.
Abhinav B. Gogoi, a participant in the familiarization program, shared: “SGU has an impressive level of campus security on and off campus, and I felt assured about the safety of students. My initial reservations were quickly addressed, and I was deeply impressed by the university’s infrastructure, qualified staff and the dedication to student well-being. The hospitality and warmth shown by SGU staff made me feel at home, offering reassurance for students and families considering SGU for their medical studies.”
