Fiber artist and designer Lucy Chapman, founder of Rosy Toes Designs, says she was inspired to create the wristlets for this exclusive gifting event because, Love is a universal theme and especially pertinent around the holidays. I think the contrast of the shimmering silk against the fuzzy nature of the felted wool is not only beautiful, but reflects the tender yet sturdy nature of love.

Of the messenger bag Chapman says, “I wanted to create something that really stood outa true artistic statement piece that would be perfect for gifting to that special someone.”

Chapman started the bag with an unusual dragon jacquard ribbon and the piece evolved from there. “There are bits of inspiration everywhere, from the large red and gold dragon on the body of the bag to the lining that is printed with a large oriental dragon to the strap covered with dragons. This bag is totally different from anything Ive done before and I love how it turned out!”

Lucy Chapman is an accomplished fiber artist and has been creating handcrafted wool items, from beanies, hats and wrist warmers to small-tech accessories and bags, since 2009. Her customers appreciate her attention to detail, from carefully chosen straps and linings to high quality hardware.
