Lorenzo's sentiments regarding his music, "I hope fans are able to deeply relate to my music -- that has been my primary goal as an artist. Taking the human experience and reflecting it back to the audience through song. Living your true self, not letting negativity get you down, and pursuing your dreams. That's what I hope people take away from my music." Written with three-time Grammy-nominated songwriter Jimmy Burney (Demi Lovato), Lorenzo describes co-writing Friends (I Dont Wanna Be) as a bit of a retrospective process he describes as follows, "I wrote this song after an experience I had with a girl thinking we were in a relationship and having her act like it was completely platonic in public. Essentially, Friends is a story of unrequited love, and being stuck in that friend zone. Described as a pop mix with an infectious EDM drop, Friends was produced by Gemini Muziq (Justin Bieber) and mastered at the iconic Abbey Road Studios by Christian Wright (Ed Sheeran). The Friends (I Dont Wanna Be) lyric video drops with the single on VEVO, September 28, 2018. Lorenzos love of music and performing began at an early age. At the age of 13 he starred in the Los Angeles revival of The Whos Tommy at the Ricardo Montalbn Theatre in Hollywood, alongside Tony Award winning actress Alice Ripley. Preparing for his debut single release virtually his entire life, Lorenzo has recorded hundreds of professional vocal projects, including pieces for the Hal Leonard Corporation, commercial theme songs, childrens books, the Olympic Games theme song, and numerous voice-overs for The Walt Disney Company. |
