Holds successful meeting in Portland, OR USA and membership grows to 80 members Online PR News � 08-July-2015 � RAIN RFID, the UHF RFID Alliance, held its most successful meeting to date in Portland OR, USA with 67 attendees at the two day meeting. The meeting was hosted by Intel, and included an open session with nine speakers followed by a members only meeting. The speakers presentations discussed the use of RAIN RFID in the several different markets and included several sessions on the importance of security in RFID. The presentations included one from the National Security Agency (NSA) on their latest lightweight cryptographic solutions Simon and Speck. Following the presentation the RAIN board of directors agreed to sponsor the algorithms for submission to ISO for standardization.
