Amazon and C&A join RAIN Alliance as industry organization achieves milestone of 120 members worldwide Online PR News � 19-July-2016 � The RAIN Alliance recently held its annual North American regional meeting in Napa, Calif., hosted by SMARTRAC and Google. members-only workgroups were held, as well as open sessions focused on how RAIN RFID technology is involved in advanced enablement technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT). Speakers represented a range of industry-leading organizations, including SMARTRAC, Google, Lenovo Motorola Mobility, Levi Strauss & Co, RR Donnelley, Teslonix, the U.S. Department of Defense, and MEPS Real-Time. Innovative applications for RAIN technology were on display at the meeting, with 130 attendees. They benefited from an opportunity to see RAIN technology in action during a visit to a Levi Strauss store where the technology is used to improve retail inventory management and customer experience.
