Panasonic India has launched its all-new tough wearable camera called the HX-A1. The rugged wearable camera offers a lightweight solution, that is aimed at an audience that is into adventure or extreme sports. The Panasonic HX-A1 is priced at Rs.19,900 in India. The main highlight of this product is it weights just 45 grams. Its very light weight.
The rugged camera is waterproof to 1.5 metres without the need for extra housing and has been drop tested from a height of 1.5 metres. Since this is an action camera, the HX-A1 is also dust proof and as Panasonic puts it, even freeze proof, down to a chilly -10 degrees C.
The key feature on the Panasonic HX-A1 has a 0 Lux Night Mode. The rugged action camera packs in an IR filter (night mode) and can be used with an infrared light source to literally let you capture footage in pitch darkness. The camera sports a 3.54 MP, 1.3-inch MOS sensor with f/2.8 aperture and 2.6mm focal length set up that will let you capture footage up to Full HD resolution. It also includes a slow motion mode capable of shooting 60 fps video at 720p or 120 fps at 480p.
There is SD card slot that supports micro SD / SDHC / SDXC up to 128GB. Videos are recorded in MPEG-4 format.
