Pacific Prime Announces 2022 Scholarship Winner

HONG KONG–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Pacific Prime is excited to announce the winner of their 2022 Scholarship Program. Folorunso Julius Falana, an Undergraduate Nursing student at the University of Kyrenia in the Republic of Cyprus, received the scholarship prize of a USD $1,000 bursary towards his education costs. Folorunso won the global health insurance broker and employee benefits specialists latest scholarship program with his impressive essay on the topic of “The importance of good mental health in academia”.

Folorunso’s essay stood out from the rest right from the introduction, where he began with “Mental health issues can come in many forms, especially for people who school, work, or live in stressful environments. It can affect people at all levels in life, from literates to illiterates, and that is why people are encouraged to educate themselves on how to maintain a positive mental practice and build an encouraging support system. Mental health is also a big issue in the academic sector.”

Folorunso continued his essay by diving deeper into “the negative effects of mental health in academia and why it is important to maintain positive mental health during academic activities”. At just under 1,000 words, Folorunso managed to capture the attention of those in charge of grading the scholarship program entries, resulting in a well-deserved win for the Nigerian native.

Upon receiving the good news that he had won Pacific Prime’s 2022 Scholarship Program, Folorunso said, “I am delighted and glad that my essay write-up was deemed worthy by the organization to be awarded a scholarship. This has taken a positive turn on me and has given me more confidence to improve my writing skills. Not only that, this monetary award will also help me financially in getting the relevant materials needed for me to excel in my studies. I am really grateful for this award.”

“Folorunso’s submission was nothing short of impressive,” said Stephen Ho, Marketing Director at Pacific Prime. “While there were a large number of applications for this year’s scholarship program, Folorunso’s essay was one that caught our attention with his unique perspective and thorough research about mental health. We’re delighted that Folorunso has accepted the award and wish him continued success in all of his endeavors.”

As a firm believer in the right to education irrespective of background, Pacific Prime first launched its scholarship program in 2013 in hopes of helping exceptional students reach their educational goals. Submission essays are evaluated based on their creativity and research according to the topic of the year. Folorunso’s essay will be published on Pacific Prime’s website later this month.
