LAT Multilingual’s New Chinese Listing Makes It Easier for Canadian Schools to Reach Chinese Students

VANCOUVER, British Columbia–(BUSINESS WIRE)–LAT Multilingual, a leading translation and multicultural communications agency with offices in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal, announces the launch of its Chinese site: ‘Education Canada 加拿大名校通’. The website features a Chinese directory of Canada’s educational institutions, making it easier for prospective students from China to evaluate their options.

Canada is on the top-five list of destinations for Chinese students seeking to study abroad. In 2022, over 52,000 study permits were issued to students from China (source: universityaffairs.ca 03/28/2023). This number is projected to increase as the Chinese Ministry of Education said in a directive dated Jan. 28 that students studying online in China would have to return to foreign campuses, or their qualifications would not be recognized in the Chinese job market.

For lesser-known educational institutions, standing out to attract the attention of international students may be challenging.

Canadian institutions highly value international students for their diverse perspectives, their economic contributions, and for enriching the academic environment. However, these institutions need to make sure international students know about all the educational opportunities that Canada has to offer.

“Guided by our own team’s insights, we developed a directory for prospective Chinese students to find out about the various options Canadian institutions offer: from trade schools and professional training to academic programs,” stated Lise Alain, President of LAT Multilingual. “We want to help smaller institutions to reach this growing market.”

The website also provides enhanced listing options and value-added services for institutions that wish to accentuate their visibility. Value-added services include publishing Chinese content on popular social media accounts such as WeChat and RED. In combination with their free directory listing, Canadian schools can effectively communicate their unique positioning to Chinese students.

LAT Multilingual has dedicated channels for sharing high-quality content, blogs, press releases, and general information about each institution. All content is translated in-house, and services also include social media management.

Institutions can obtain their free listing by filling out the form at https://educationcanada.cn/get-listed/.
