TOKYO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Product Options, a design company that looks to create and develop health and beauty appliances have created a unique back support that looks to help workers that have found themselves sitting for longer than before due to the coronavirus epidemic. With this extended period of sitting, it has led to a rise in lower back and spine problems, mainly due to bad posture while sitting. The Koshi Cushion has been created with these problems in mind, looking to help prevent back pain.

The support is created using two separate panels that move via springs to allow for the support to be able to conform to the user’s body, allowing them to always maintain the correct posture while sitting. This leads to a reduction in back pain and back problems in the future. It is also height adjustable, allowing for the support to fit most chairs and more importantly most backs.

This support is also hygienic, durable and also washable (excluding the detachable cushion parts) allowing the user to clean the support with alcohol wipes or even just water. The cushions are made of a durable foam that can withstand up to 100,000 uses.

The Koshi Cushion was first released in Japan via a crowdfunding site and was a hit, raising about $16,000 USD of support, with over 200 backers.

It has currently passed its first goal of $3000 USD with just under 3 weeks remaining, and is still growing in support. The Koshi Cushion support is available for early backers at $64 + shipping.
