Kollam Paravur Temple Fire Update: Death toll at 110, PM visiting the Spot

A huge fire broke out at Puttingal temple at Paravaur (Kollam District), Kerala early today morning leaving at least 110 people dead and over a hundred injured, many injured people is critical. The fire took place at around 3.30 AM today morning.

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is reaching the spot in next few hours. He will visit the Accident spot and he will visit the injured people in Kollam district hospital.

Over 100 victims are admitted to the district hospital in Kollam. Many of the injured died before they could reach a hospital. Victims were also admitted to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital and at various private hospitals in Kollam.

The explosion was caused when the storehouse of the fireworks materials caught fire. In the impact of the explosion, the office building of the Travancore Devaswom Board near the storehouse was blown off.

Only 76 dead bodies been identified.
