Philip Xie, Chief Product Officer of Kido, is introducing X3 at Qualcomm 4G/5G Summit Wearable session.
Since its debut in 2016, Kido has been a pioneer bringing 4G LTE smartwatches for kids, Kido has grown significantly and is currently the second largest 4G kids watch vendor in China, according to Sino Market Research. Kido has launched several smartwatches for kids models based on Qualcomm platforms, all of which feature 4G LTE.
Kido X3 includes many high-end features for the kid market today. Its stylish appearance is comprised of a sophisticated mechanic design with a 1.55� retina display and Corning Gorilla glass. It embeds a large battery at 900mAh capacity, which enables up to four days of battering life.
At the core of Kido X3 is the Snapdragon Wear 2100 platform and the newly designed Kido OS, an open source Android based OS designed specifically for kids. Snapdragon Wear 2100 enables fast performance, integrated sensor processing, and 4G LTE multi-mode connectivity while delivering extended battery life in a sleek design. The Kido OS offers an interactive user interface with standard features such as calling, messaging and positioning, and advanced features such as video calling, QQ, Alipay, Baidu dictionary, music streaming, and Kido Robot. This powerful combination of hardware and software platforms, enables video calling, dual camera, dual frequency GPS, and patented software algorithms developed by Kido to control the overall performance.

The Kido X3 features a side view camera in addition to a front-facing camera, which allows kids to take pictures as well as selfies from the watch. Kido X3 also includes wireless charging to help parents easily charge the kid�s watch using the same wireless charging pad for their smartphones. The Kido X3 also features dual-frequency GPS that significantly improves outdoor and indoor location accuracy.
Kido X3 will be on sale in China from November, supporting 4G LTE networks across all three major carriers: China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom. Support for other countries is also being planned for next year.
