Intex added one more Smartphone with their Aqua series by launching an entry level 3G Smartphone for Rs.2,799. The phone will be availble in black or white colour options.
In terms of specification Intex Aqua Joy comes with a 4 inch (10.6cm) screen with a resolution of 480x800. The display have 16.7 million colours and 233 ppi (pixels per inch). The phone is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad core ARM v7 Cortex processor with a 512MB DDR2 RAM (which is very low). The GPU is an ARM Mali400 MP2. It has a 4GB ROM (Internal Memory) and the storage can be further expanded by upto 32GB by microsd card. The phone screen does not support multi touch, it support a single touch. Figure gestures will not work on this phone as it comes with a single touch.
The phone operates on Android Lollipop 5.1. There are 0.3 megapixel cameras on both the front and the back (this looks very bad). The front camera takes photos in 640480 resolution, while the back camera snaps in 800480 resolution. Both cameras can record videos at 25 frames per second. The back camera has a dual tone flash. The 1450 mAh lithium-ion battery gives a talktime of 4 to 5 hours, and standby time between 140 to 160 hours. The phone is 10.1 millimeters thick and weighs 110 grams.
Our Take: Intex will find tough to get buyers for this phone. There are better phones available in markets for much cheaper price.
