Shirt Studio Corporate, an Australian custom uniform company, has carved out a niche in this market and is giving hospitality competitors the chance to be at the top of their game with their stylish new custom designs.
Head designer at Shirt Studio Corporate, Fiona Anchal, said they are dedicated to bringing innovation into the workplace and have been perfecting the art of uniforms for years allowing them to now spread their power of influence into the world of hospitality.
In an ever-growing industry, competition is at its highest and having a stand out uniform that speaks to your brand is one way to guarantee a win, Mrs. Anchal said.
Buying a standard catalogue product for your team simply wont cut it these days, but creating a custom uniform that is unique to your hotel or restaurant is really what sets a hospitality team apart from the rest, she said.
When a customer walks in the front door of your business they are immediately confronted by the branding and values of your hotel or restaurant as they are greeted by your staff, Mrs. Anchal said.
In the last five years, the rise of boutique hotels and restaurants has been phenomenal. As the entertainment culture of Australia grows, so too does the hospitality industry and atmosphere and reputation matter just as much as service.
Mrs. Anchal believes that the hospitality industry requires niche uniforms that need to be practical, and comfortable whilst setting the mood and tone.
A recent project for Shirt Studio Corporate put this theory into practice with the roll out of a high-end boutique hotel in Victoria, Royal Mail Hotel.
Located three hours west of Melbourne, in the renowned Grampians region, the hotel is complete with an eco-friendly ethos, a two hatted degustation restaurant and the stunning backdrop of Dunkeld, Shirt Studio Corporate partnered with Royal Mail Hotel to ensure they implemented a uniform to match their growing reputation.
Fiona Anchal said the aim with the new team branding was to create a uniform that was complimentary to their environment and to create slightly different looks for each division of the Hotel.
We were determined to create a uniform that matched the hotels unique character, said Mrs. Anchal.
The final result comprised of all natural fibresand for the degustation restaurant pure wool trousers with a grainy texture, a light grey sateen cotton shirt, contrasting tone grey woolen vest and an olive green cotton knitted tie, she said.
The uniform colour palette of charcoal, grey, silver and olive green were put together to match the earthy focus of Royal Mails philosophy, Mrs. Anchal said.
The other division of the hotel fitted out was housekeeping and this was a standout piece like no other professional and comfortable trousers teamed with grey shirts with a dynamic black collar and front placket, finished off with charcoal puffer vests.
This is just the beginning for Shirt Studio Corporate and whats possible in the hospitality industry. Already a major player in the industry, this Australian uniform business seems to be taking hotels and eating establishments across the country by storm.
In an industry where customer experience reigns, uniforms seem to be the new tactic for success. Shirt Studio Corporate is leading the way, helping boutique hospitality retailers on their way to the top.
In Australia, almost a million people work in the Hospitality industry. It has a fast-paced, ever- changing culture and is perhaps the most competitive industry in the nation. From hotel tycoons to boutique coffee shops, the influence and scale of the hospitality trade is undeniable.
