GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and it is a national-level examination and it is basically conducted for those students who are seeking their career in a post-graduate program such as M.Tech., M.E., MS, Ph. D., etc. This exam will be conducted in 8 exam slots.
As per GATE 2020, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering will be held in 2 sessions while the other 23 exams will be held in a single session. An uncountable number of students have applied for the GATE exam but few of them qualified for the exam. GATE is a computer-based test with duration of 3 hours containing 65 multiple questions. Those students who havesuccessfully registered for the GATE exam they can download their Admit Card from January3, 2020. And GATE Result will be declared on March 16, 2020.
While applying for any examination, candidates must keep in mind which is the eligibility criteria of any exam. Because once your application has been submitted so there is no chance for correction and your dreams may break down.

Eligibility Criteria of GATE 2020
Those candidates who are preparing for GATE 2020, may look at the eligibility criteria before filling up the registration form. Those candidates who are not satisfying the eligibility criteria of GATE 2020 will be disqualified from the exam. Some of the are listed given below:
Nationality: Applicants who are applying for GATE 2020 must be a citizen of India. And candidates from outside India may also apply for the examination of GATE 2020 if they fulfill the eligibility criteria.
Age Limit: There is no Age Limit for any candidates, any age group may appear in this exam.
Qualification: There is a certain list of qualifications.
Candidates must have completed their bachelor�s degree in B.E., B.Tech, B.Sc., B.Arch, from a recognized board of university.
Candidates must have a qualified bachelors degree with 45% marks in all subjects.
Those candidates who are in the final year or waiting for the final year result, it may also appear in the GATE 2020 examination.
Application Proces of GATE 2020
GATE 2020 registration form will be available from 31st August till 5th October 2019. The registration process of GATE 2020 was completely online and candidates had to submit the registration form and registration fees by visiting the official website of GATE 2020. Type of Question: MCQs (Multiple Choice Question)
Total No of Question: 65
Correct Answer Marks: 1 marks and 2 marks will be given, depending upon the section.
Negative Marking: 1/3rd deducted from 1 mark question and ? will be deducted from 2 mark questions. There is no Negative Marking for NTA questions.
Total Marks: 100
Total Time Duration: 180 Minutes
Marks Division: Engineering Mathematics: 15 % of total marks
General Aptitude: 15% of total marks
Candidate opted for Discipline: 70% of total marks
Result and Counseling
The result of GATE 2020 will be declared on 16th March 2020. And the counseling process will be commenced from April 2020. Qualifying candidates will be downloaded their results from the official websites of GATE 2020.
After downloading the results candidates will be issued a call letter for the counseling purpose and the scorecard of GATE 2020 will also get released after the announcement of results.
