Freedom 251: Noida Police files FIR against Ringing Bells for cheating

After few days Ringing Bells is again in News. Ringing Bells is the Noida based Mobile manufacturer who launched the world’s cheapest 3G Smartphone Freedom 251 for Rs.251. Noida Police files FIR against Ringing Bells for cheating customers. The FIR was filed based on the complaint lodged by BJP MP Kirit Somaiya. MP Kirit Somaiya alleges Ringing bells is a ponzi bogus company scam.

BJP MP Kirit Somaiya is the MP from Mumbai North-East had alleged that it is a ‘ponzi bogus company scam’ and urged the Noida police to freeze the firm’s account to protect gullible buyers.

Somaiya blamed the Ringing Bells is putting up misleading advertisements by using words such as Make in India, Digital India and Skill India. The company is trying to take advantage of Govt’s Make in India, Digital India and Skill India. The company is also trying to show that it is a Make in India project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for cheating people. The MP claimed that the Tricolour was also being abused in the advertisements to misguide the buyers.

Mohit Goel, director of Ringing Bells Pvt. Ltd said: “We remain committed to cooperate with any government agency that may require to inquire our organisation for any reason or suspicion. I do maintain that we will deliver the most affordable quality products to our customers through our various range of smart phones including the Freedom 251.”

The company have refunded all the amount collected from the customers. Now the company is offering the Rs.251 smartphone only by COD option.
