After a $300K ngel investment and achieving a charity milestone of Rs. 30 million for 20 of its nonprofit partners, Impact App – the fitness kindness app – celebrates this success with its users through a referral campaign aiming at feeding 100K meals to hungry children across India.
Under this challenge, 2 meals will be shared with kids in need when a user invites a friend to the app. The company is running this campaign in partnership with DHL and Akshay Patra who will fund the campaign and feed the kids respectively on behalf of the apps users.
In India, more than 3 Crore children sleep hungry each day. In an attempt to raise awareness about this problem and empower the common man to be a part of the solution, this app has created a referral campaign that shares meals with every download.
In a consumer-app like Uber or Swiggy, users and their friends get a discount on their next ride or meal when they invite someone to the app. With #ShareAMealChallenge, this app has shifted that incentive from “me to we.”
