Newly completed line doubles manufacturing capacity for US rubber recycler Online PR News 27-February-2017 Edge Rubber is excited to announce the doubled capacity for coarse crumb rubber of its facility in Chambersburg, PA! Edge Rubber has added a new cracker mill production line, giving the plant double capacity for ambient materials. The plants total capacity is now 72 million pounds per year of ambient crumb (in mesh sizes 8 through 30). This new cracker mill line was installed to meet the growing demand of several of Edge Rubbers long-standing customers, to support new business, and to improve the cost of production through scale. Weve been so encouraged by the reception from our community and our industry the past few months, and were very excited to see this new line up and running, says Sam Kauffman, Edge Rubbers new CEO, who has been with the company for many years. Edge Rubber reopened last November after a significant investment from DC-based Anzu Partners, who have worked closely with Edge Rubbers dedicated management team to reestablish itself in the rubber industry.
