TAIPEI, Taiwan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a pioneer in AI and facial recognition technologies, announced integration of its FaceMe® AI engine by NEC Personal Computer on NEC LAVIE Home All-in-one PCs, enabling new features powered by facial recognition on the “LAVIE AI Assistant” software – such as a PC being able to recognize the face of each family member with FaceMe® and launch personalized interfaces, enhancing the overall user experience in a multi-user scenario.
LAVIE Home All-in-one, which comes with a 10th generation Intel® Core™ processor, is now available in the Japanese market. With the native “LAVIE AI Assistant” software, individual users can register their face and set up shortcuts to their frequently used software. At startup, users can simply sign-in using their face and immediately launch their own favorite “Hey LAVIE” applications.
“Facial recognition is one of the fastest growing technologies, and FaceMe® is one of the world’s leading solutions. Just like in many other IoT and AIoT applications, facial recognition holds limitless potential to enhance the overall user experience on consumer devices,” said Dr. Jau Huang, CEO of CyberLink. “CyberLink and NEC Personal Computer have been partners for years, providing the company with a number of multimedia software products. By integrating FaceMe®, users owning NEC’s LAVIE Home All-in-one PCs can now access an enhanced, convenient and secure experience due to the innovation unlocked through our facial recognition expertise.”
FaceMe’s® edge-based architecture delivers powerful, efficient, flexible and highly secure facial recognition solutions. It supports more than 10 operating systems, including Windows, Android, iOS, and several Linux distributions such as Ubuntu x86, Ubuntu ARM, RedHat, CentOS, Yocto, Debian and JetPack. FaceMe® can run on low-power CPUs to enable facial recognition on cost-effective IoT/AIoT devices, as well as high-end servers, workstations and GPU-equipped personal computers to provide high yet efficient performance. FaceMe’s® unique characteristics make it the leading facial recognition engine available in the market today.
