Collaborative uses teaching tools to address Chicago's bloody gangs, bullying, and violence Online PR News 16-March-2018 Richard Gonzalez and civic leader, Robert Renteria have formed a strategic alliance to develop a culturally relevant program for Chicago's youth, Renteria's publicist announced today. The collaborative involves using teaching tools to address Chicago's bloody gangs, bullying, and violence. Robert Renteria says that by ignoring social stigmas and demographics such as age, race, gender, religion and economic backgrounds, lives can be saved and change the landscape for youth and communities in Chicago. Richard Gonzalez, a candidate in Chicago's 4th Congressional District, and Renteria are proponents for authentic leadership. "We both understand that leadership entails authentic action and not merely talking the talk," explained Renteria. "It involves walking the walk of real leaders. Richard is a career public servant, and that is why I chose to collaborate with him. We seek to solve the problems facing Chicago's children and communities. There are too many people simply putting band aids on bullet wounds." "Richard and Robert are providing a much needed platform for strengthening existing and collective efforts to keep violence from becoming a daily part of our children lives," stated Fran Briggs, Publicist to Robert Renteria. "Robert has provided educational and inspirational teaching tools for ten years. He knows learning doesn't stop at the end of the school day." Chicago statistics clearly point at prevention over intervention as proven strategies for curtailing violence, particularly in a youth's early years. The two Chicago leaders vow to challenge other leaders to participate and become a part of the solution. ABOUT RICHARD GONZALEZ ABOUT ROBERT RENTERIA |
