The image quality of the JENETRIC FAP 60 scanner meets the highest requirements for fingerprint image quality for government applications. The German biometric company has been awarded the certificate of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). The BSI tested and certified the image quality of the LIVETOUCH QUATTRO Compact as a manufacturer-independent authority according to the strict technical guideline TR-03121 for biometrics in government applications.
For public administrations, this is an important signal for the further expansion of mobile applications. A standardized and consistently high image quality is a prerequisite for sovereign enrolments anytime and anywhere and for comparing fingerprints, for example, by the police and border control authorities.
Roberto Wolfer, CEO of JENETRIC, emphasizes: “JENETRIC pursues a clear goal: the highest image quality combined with simple operation of our fingerprint scanners even in outdoor use. After our LIVETOUCH QUATTRO Compact fingerprint scanner was certified by the FBI as the smallest FAP 60 device with our innovative optical TFT technology, we are pleased that the BSI has also confirmed the high image quality of the new technology.”
The LIVETOUCH QUATTRO Compact is the smallest FAP 60 fingerprint scanner on the market that can capture four fingers simultaneously. Thanks to its FAP 60 format, the scanner can not only be used for enrolments, but also for flat only identifications. The large capture area ensures that the fingerprint images also meet the high quality standards of the authorities in increasingly important mobile applications. In combination with minimal weight, compact size and low power consumption, the LIVETOUCH QUATTRO Compact is destined for non-stationary use by security authorities.
JENETRIC products will soon be presented to authorities and potential users at international conferences of border control authorities in Casablanca, Vienna and Washington D.C.
JENETRIC, with offices in Germany and the USA, was founded in Jena, Germany in 2014 by a multidisciplinary team of hardware and software specialists with many years of fingerprint recording experience. The company pursues a holistic approach to product development that is clearly oriented to customer requirements – with the ambitious goal of improving living and working conditions through the use of biometric systems.
