SHANGHAI, China–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Ant Group has been named as a Representative Vendor in the 2022 Gartner Market Guide for Graph Database Management Systems (DBMSs), a research of graph DBMSs by the global independent research firm as it projects a rapidly growing market for graph technologies.
Ant Group is among the 32 vendors named in the guide. The Companys graph processing database TuGraph is classified as native graph DBMSs — in comparison to multimodel ones — by the Market Guide. Native solutions may be more scalable and more applicable for resource-heavy processing involving real-time calculations, multi-hop queries and machine learning, the guide says.
We are thankful for the inclusion, and we take it as the latest indication of international recognition of TuGraph, said Chuntao HONG, Senior Director of Graph Computing at Ant Group. Graph technology is critical to the development of data analytics and AI in the future. It is also one of the frontier technologies that could help foster a vibrant digital economy. Ant Group will continue to share its graph technologies through open source to expand TuGraphs use cases.
In terms of market potential, the Market Guide states, based on the increasing usage, popularity and maturity of graph, Gartner estimates that the market for graph technologies, including graph DBMSs, will grow to $3.2 billion by 2025 with a CAGR of 28.1%. The research also points out by 2025, graph technologies will be used in 80% of data and analytics innovations, up from 10% in 2021, facilitating rapid decision making across the enterprise.
