The annual Arts in Hong Kong event brings artists and visitors from around the world to celebrate the vibrant and diverse art culture of Hong Kong, Asia’s leading arts destination
HONG KONG & LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Next month, the Hong Kong Tourism Board will share in launching the annual Arts in Hong Kong program with a series of art installations, museum events, and the landmark art events Art Central and Art Basel Hong Kong. Attracting visitors from around the globe to experience Hong Kong from an artistic perspective, Arts in Hong Kong celebrates the vibrant and diverse art culture of Hong Kong.
During the month of March, the city will host a variety of arts and cultural events in its unique neighborhoods: West Kowloon, Tsim Sha Tsui, Central and Wan Chai, and along Victoria Harbour, both indoors and outdoors.
March 16 – April 11: Hong Kong Museum & M+ Exhibitions
In West Kowloon Cultural District, see masterpieces from London’s National Gallery at the Hong Kong Palace Museum’s “Botticelli to Van Gogh” exhibition, visit M+ for the impressive “Noir & Blanc” exhibition on black-and-white photography.
March 16 – April 7: Digital Art & WestK FunFest: “Ephemeral”
Digital art facades will illuminate the Tsim Sha Tsui promenade, along with WestK FunFest where an award-winning, large-scale immersive art installation features a world of giant, vibrant inflatable “bubble-tecture.”
March 22-24: ComplexCon Hong Kong
ComplexCon Hong Kong celebrates pop culture. The expertly curated festival features the world’s most influential brands and artists, creating an experience that blends fashion, sneakers, art, food, music, inspiration, and more. This event marks the international debut at AsiaWorld Expo, located near the Hong Kong International Airport.
March 25 – June 2: Art@Harbour 2024: teamLab “Continuous”
In conjunction with the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD)’s Art@Harbour 2024, teamLab’s “Continuous” installation on Central Harbourfront will feature hundreds of glowing egg-shaped structures with ever-changing colors and sounds, responding to visitors’ interactions.
March 27 – 31: Art Central
Returning to Central Harbourfront after four years, Art Central will once again showcase boundary-pushing contemporary art from the region’s most forward-thinking galleries, as well as a new sector, “Neo”, devoted to first-time exhibitors.
March 28 – 30: Art Basel Hong Kong
A cornerstone of art season, Art Basel Hong Kong will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The prestigious art fair will return with more than 240 world-class galleries and 16 large-scale installations.
Additionally, the Arts in Hong Kong Harbour Tour, arranged by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, will offer front-row seats to the artistic wonders along the sea.
