“Airwallex for Startups” Launches in Hong Kong to Help Local Businesses Streamline Operations

HONG KONG–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Airwallex, a leading global payments and financial platform for modern businesses, today announced the launch of “Airwallex for Startups, a business readiness campaign exclusively for Hong Kong entrepreneurs to support their global growth ambitions.

With the support of Hong Kong flagship incubators, and in collaboration with Hong Kong business partners, “Airwallex for Startups” builds on the company’s commitment to Hong Kong’s economic development and its ongoing efforts to support the city’s early-stage businesses on their international expansion.

“Going global may at first seem daunting and out of reach, but the return on investment is massive – including multiple revenue streams, access to a broader customer and greater business resilience,” said Arnold Chan, General Manager, Asia at Airwallex.

“We are pleased to have gained the support from Cyberport and Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks (“HKSTP”) and many of our local business partners, offering Hong Kong’s startups resources to help their businesses unlock their greatest potential, and take their businesses to the next level.”

Starting today, Airwallex will also launch additional offers that aim to alleviate the pain points startups in Hong Kong face. Through its partnerships with Bowtie, The Executive Centre and Xero, startups will be able to tap into offers that can enhance cost and operational efficiency, allowing for businesses to focus on growth. Additional activities, including webinars for startups with Cyberport, as well as networking opportunities with the HKSTP community, will also be made available to Airwallex customers in the coming months.

“While starting a business is an exciting endeavor, startups and SMEs tend to have limited resources,” said Chan. “From the challenges of time management, lack of marketing and sales campaigns, to managing expenses, we want to make things that much easier, and ultimately, provide guidance and offers that can help them succeed, and better streamline operations.”

This latest campaign is an extension of Airwallex’s previous SME Initiative and Go Global campaigns, where nearly 1,000 Hong Kong SMEs benefited from the suite of offerings.
