How to Activate Double Tap to Wake (DT2W) on Xiaomi Mi 3 and Mi 4

Xiaomi Mi 3 and Mi 4 are great phones from�Xiaomi. Double Tap to Wake (DT2W) or Swipe to Wake (S2W) are the useful feature for your smartphone. These 2 features are not enabled by default by MIUI. This feature is enabled in the Kernel level not on the ROM. Till now Official Xiaomi Kernel does not support Double Tap to Wake (DT2W) or Swipe to Wake (S2W) for Mi3 and Mi4.

There is custom Kernel named ZeurionX which will help us to activate Double Tap to Wake (DT2W) on Xiaomi Mi 3 and Mi 4. This Kernel is created by “vasishath” (XDA Forum Senior User) for Mi3 and Mi4 users.

Here we will show you how to activate Double Tap to Wake (DT2W) or Swipe to Wake (S2W) on your Mi3 and Mi4.

Make sure you are on a Android 6 ROM (even MIUI ROM is supported).

Your Phone should be Rooted and you should have Custom Recovery (CWM or TWRP) to install this Kernel on your phone.

DT2W

The original implementation for cancro. I have fixed most of the wakeup problems now like need to tap 3-4 times etc.. And in an attempt to reduce pocket wakeups, the double tap area is limited to the LOWER HALF of the screen. Works on both MI3 and 4.

The original implementation for cancro. Fixed issue with s2w.

Kexec support
This kernel also has kexec hard boot support so u can also flash multirom with this. And what’s more… U can even flash MIUI as your first rom (since miui supports this kernel) and any LP rom with any kernel of your choice as the second rom.
