Malayalam actor Jishnu Raghavan Passes away after his long battle with cancer, today morning 8.15 at Amritha Hospital in Kochi, Kerala. �Son of famous Malayalam actor Raghavan.
Thirty five year old Jishnu, who was known for his positive social media posts, was battling cancer and had recovered from it once. Though his cancer was detected for the first time two years ago and he was completely cured of it, his cancer had relapsed last year.
Jishnu stepped into the Film world 14 years ago as Sivan in the movie Nammal. Some of his movies include Pauran,Freedom and Chakaramuttu, among others. He also acted alongside Mammuty in one of the CBI series.
In 2014, Jishnu had posted in his Twitter account that he had survived cancer. However, unconfirmed reports hinted at a relapse and a photo in which he looked frail and sickly had gone viral last November.
Jishnu appeared as a child artist in the movie Kilipatt in the year 1987, Jishnu made his film debut in a leading role in the blockbuster movie Nammal in 2002.
His performance in the film earned him Mathrubhumi Award and Kerala Film Critics Award for the Best Male Debut.
He followed it with leading roles in Choonda, Freedom, Parayam and supporting part in Nerariyan CBI, Pauran and Chakkara Muthu.
Following through with some unnoticed movies he took a break from the film Industry to work for developing information technology in the rural areas.
Then he returned to filmdom through the superhhit film Ordinary following which he did Nidra, Ustad Hotel, Banking Hours 10 to 4, Annum Innum Ennum and Rebbecca Uthup Kizhakemala.
He died following cancer in a private hospital around 8am on 25th March, 2016
