LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sourced from private growers across New Zealand’s renowned Marlborough Region, Duck Hunter Wines is proud to announce that its newly released 2022 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, received a 92-point score by Wine Spectator. This accolade places the wine among the best New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs available in the United States and highlights Duck Hunter’s commitment to premium wines at affordable prices.
Duck Hunter Wines of New Zealand is a 100 percent pure Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc carefully blended using 25 percent Awatere Valley fruit known for its crisp acidity and herbaceous minerality and 75 percent from the warmer and wetter Wairua Valley region. Like all Duck Hunter Wines, the 2022 Sauvignon Blanc is 100 percent sustainably accredited from vineyard to bottle ensuring best practices to protect New Zealand’s wine growing environment.
According to MaryAnn Worobiec, senior editor and Napa bureau chief for Wine Spectator, the 2022 Duck Hunter Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough is a “vibrant white [that] offers a laser beam of passion fruit, lime and pomelo flavors that are accented by aromatic details of lemongrass and lemon verbena, plus a hint of litsea oil, with grilled lemon and floral details on a fresh, juicy frame.” She continues to encourage readers to, “Drink Now. 36,000 cases made 29,000 cases imported.”
“Ms. Worobiec’s review is tremendous acknowledgement to Duck Hunter’s quality, and we are excited to release this new vintage to the marketplace,” says Stuart Gray, executive vice president, general manager, Stratus Wine and Spirits, the exclusive importer of Duck Hunter wines into the USA. “This score highlights the tremendous effort by Vintners Mark Wilson and Rosie Mclean to showcase the very best of Marlborough’s vineyards and provide a delicious wine at a great price to the American consumer.”
