2023 Digital Asia Forum: ICT Leaders in Asia-Pacific Jointly Declare Digital Technology Cooperation

TAIPEI, Taiwan–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Asia-Pacific region’s post-pandemic economic recovery, powered by digital technology, has drawn global attention. Information Service Industry Association of R.O.C. (CISA), successfully hosted the “Digital Asia Forum” in Taiwan. It gathered top digital policy officials, information service and software industry leaders, and academic experts from 10 Asia-Pacific countries in Taiwan. Moreover, ambassadors and office officials from non-Asia-Pacific countries also attended the event, demonstrating Asia’s digital economic strength.




ICT Leaders from 10 Countries Create the Future of Digital Asia

Taiwan and six other countries in the Asia-Pacific region have signed the “Digital Asia Joint Declaration” to foster digital technology industry collaboration. Moreover, ASOCIO also signed a “Sustainable Transformation” with GeSI, hoping to use digital technology create a sustainable future.

CISA signed several cooperation agreements, including “Taiwan-Japan Digital Technology Strategy Cooperation” with NTT Data Taiwan Co., Ltd., “Cybersecurity Cooperation” with Japan Network Security Association (JNSA). CISA also partnered with Singapore’s digital technology certification agency (iTrain Asia Pte. Ltd.) and CrossBond International Brand Consultant to expand digital talents in Southeast Asia and match business opportunities for both sides.

Partnering with International Organization ASOCIO Seize Business Opportunities in Asia-Pacific Market

Brian Shen, Chairman of CISA and ASOCIO, said: “Digital Asia Declaration shows the strong commitment of the Asia-Pacific countries to cooperate and develop together. ASOCIO can not only help Taiwan’s ICT industry connect with the Asia-Pacific business community, but also increase the visibility of Taiwan’s manufacturers. How to leverage the resources of ASOCIO’s industry, government, academia, research and information sectors will also be CISA’s long-term goal.”

Betty Hu, Deputy Director General of Administration for Digital Industries, moda said she witnessed the signing of several cooperation memorandums with Asia-Pacific countries, which shows that Taiwan’s ICT industry has a strong reputation in Asia. In the second half of the year, moda will also join major international events to enhance Taiwan’s global visibility.
